Building Community Through Teamwork & Trust

About us ...

Police officer and community member shaking hands in solidarity.

The Leesburg Police Citizens Support Team (LPCST) was established in April of 1996 by the Leesburg Police Department as an essential part of community policing in Leesburg, Virginia. We are a nonprofit volunteer organization made up of citizens who work closely with the LPD to further community policing initiatives.

Over the years, our LPCST members have dedicated countless hours of volunteer service to the Leesburg Police and the Town of Leesburg. We are acknowledged by federal, state, and local authorities, as well as civic groups. Our support for the LPD includes various activities such as promoting child safety, conducting community patrols, performing seatbelt surveys, managing traffic and crowd control, and assisting at emergency scenes and special events, all of which provide valuable volunteer opportunities.
